Original German WWII Refurbished Heer (Army) M40 Helmet Size 64-This is an original German WWII M40 helmet, manufactured by Eisenhüttenwerk Thale (ET) in size 64. It retains its original factory-applied dark field gray paint inside and out, with most of the wear concentrated on the top of the dome and only minor surface rust present.A high-quality reproduction dry transfer Heer (Army) decal has been correctly applied in the spot where the original once was but had been removed at some point. The helmet still features a high-quality European made reproduction reinforced aluminum liner band, dated 1940, fitted with a nicely aged, toned leather liner. Comes with original matching split pins and washers remain in place, though the split pins have lost all their paint.A reproduction leather chinstrap has been added, making this helmet an excellent choice for either display or reenacting.
