Dutch M41 KNIL Combat Helmet 'Soerabaja 2'

Dutch M41 KNIL Combat Helmet (Stalen helm M41 KNIL Soerabaja 2) as intended for the Dutch Colonial Troops in Indonesia. This is an example produced in Soerabaja. The stamped sheet steel construction M41 helmet retains most of its original green paint showing some normal scratches and traces of usage. All liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a tropical type leather liner complete with felt protection, there is some moth damage. The liner is not visible maker marked. The liner is complete with its original often missing leather neck-flap. The helmet is complete with its original leather chinstrap. A name of soldier 'de Vos' is written inside the liner. Extremely rare untouched KNIL type Dutch combat helmet in good used condition!
