Original WWII British No 4. MK III Gas mask

This British gas mask from the Second World War is in used condition and is the Type No. 4A respirator, produced by Barringer Wallis & Manners Ltd, Mansfield in 1938, as clearly marked on the red metal filter canister.The set consists of the rubber facepiece with glass eyepieces marked on the inside with the year 1941, a woven fabric breathing hose, and the original red metal filter canister with threaded coupling.The interior of the mask features the characteristic head harness with adjustable straps and bears model and patent markings.We recently purchased this gas mask from a private individual and it originally comes from the city of Nijmegen.A perfect addition to any British WWII or gas mask collection!Article number: 16825
