M35 Luftwaffe double decal steel helmet with droop tail eagle ET66 1935

M35 blue colored Luftwaffe helmet with double decals. The Luftwaffe eagle is the desirable first pattern model often referred to as the 'Droop Tail' or 'Straight Leg' variant, typical for this manufacturer. Both decals are sadly almost complete gone due combat wear and a few percentages are left present. The helmet is complete with an aluminum liner (dated 1935). Original brass split pins present, washer missing. Most likely the liner was taken out at one point in time. The leather feels soft and remains strong. The liner shows the early size stamp pressed in the leather '66/59′. Maker marked by ET (Eisenhüttenwerk Thale) size 66 (ET66), lot number 2810. A very nice 'been there' combat worn Luftwaffe helmet!
