He served with the regiment in China 1860 and was present at the taking of Sinho & Tangku, the occupation of Tientsin & the surrender of Pekin.He died in Ryde on the isle of wight 18-6-1913 age 86.A rare confirmed & officially impressed medal to a senior officer of the regiment
