Description

This is a very attractive - fully matching and (I deem) just minimally used - pair of typical, later-war-period WH (Heeres) so-called: 'M44'-styled (ie. 'simplified') NCO-type shoulderstraps as was piped in the neat darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel eines Sanitäts-Regiments o. Abteilungs' (or: senior-NCO ie. medical-orderly and sergeant first-class who served within a later-war-period, medical-related unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem hardly used- nor worn-), condition. The neat straps - which are approximately 11 cms. sized in length each - have the 'standard-pattern'- and/or typical, field-grey-coloured and/or woolen-based 'upperdecks' and show the neat darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured and/or: 'silk-like'-type branchcolour (ie. piping) attached. The straps are constructed following the typical '1944 cloth-minimising production-manner' using different shades of wool and/or material (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps show each two pairs of (fully matching, bright-silver-toned, regular-sized and/or zinc-based) pips and a pair of (equally-styled and also larger-sized) so-called: 'Aesculapus'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') period-attached denoting the NCO-rank of an: 'Oberfeldwebel eines Sanitäts-Regiments o. Abteilungs' (or: senior-NCO ie. medical-orderly and sergeant first-class who served within a later-war-period, medical-related unit). All six devices are just hardly stained- nor tarnished and have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (albeit minimally darkened), age-patina. The straps do show some minimal storage-age ie. staining simply caused by minimal wear and/or decades of storage only. It should be noted that all 'M44'-style, NCO-pattern shoulderstraps are actually quite hard to encounter and can easily be graded 'scarce': the NCO-ones as intended for the 'Sanitäts-Truppen' even more so! Simply a nice occasion to acquire a very attractive - and fully 'text-book'! - M44-styled, NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair as was intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel eines Sanitäts-Regiments o. Abteilungs': great to complete any later-war M44- (ie. even M43-) model 'Heeres'-tunic!
