Description
Here on offer is a rare Joseph Rodgers special edition 2000 Millennium collectors lockback folding knife, still in its clear plastic box and in mint condition.I bought this knife brand new from Joseph Rodgers of Sheffield in 2000, as a memento of the 2000 millennium. It has been displayed, in its clear plastic box, in a glass display case for the last 25 years.I believe the production run on this special edition knife was very low, so they are rare to find these days, especially in mint condition! These were made as a small 'range' of special edition knives to commemorate the 2000 millennium. This knife has a mint 2' polished stainless steel curved blade that is stamped on one side of the ricasso with the Jospeh Rodgers makers mark of the Star and Maltese cross stamp and the name:RODGERSSTAINLESSSHEFFIELDENGLANDThe Star and Malta cross marks was originally that of Benjamin Rich. Rogers registered the same mark in 1764.The blade opens well and locks in place securely. The blade is released by depressing the lock latch on the top of the grip. The plain grip scales are made of stainless steel and are held in place by four brass domed headed rivets. On the front scale, it has a circular embossed stamped with the details, 'MILLENNIUM' and the year '2000'.It has a small suspension ring set at the bottom. The knife comes in its original clear plastic box with black removable ends. There is a design reference number on one side of the end, that reads as:12043/2K1LOCKINGBLADEThis is a great opportunity to obtain a rare mint special edition Joseph Rodgers knife, that can't be upgraded. The blade measures 2' (5.1cm) long with a cutting edge of 1.7' (4.2cm) and the knife itself is a total of 4.5' (11.4cm) long when open, excluding the ring.It weighs 35g.Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description. Please see my TERMS OF BUSINESS regarding Deliver Charges and Insurance regarding additional insurance cover, should you require it, BEFORE the item is dispatched. The responsibility lies with the customer to check with your Customs restrictions that this item can be imported into your country.
