WW1 Womens Land Army LAAS felt cloth overall coat badge

A scarce original First World War period 'Womens.Land.Army L.A.A.S service badge' given by the Land Army Agricultural Section; large circular green felt example, red embroidered crown within a padded cream felt circlet bearing the title in red embroidered thread, the reverse with black wax cotton hessian lining. Good condition, colours remain bright, two small moth nip.Diameter approx 53mm.In the Women's Land Army L.A.A.S. Handbook it states that the 'L.A.A.S. Badge' is given after two months' approved service, and should be worn on the left lapel of the overall.
