Stunning late war Fallschirmjäger jump smock in excellent, lightly worn condition. The smock is a textbook late war example manufactured from '43 hard edged Sumpftarn camouflage fabric. The back portion is made from a unknown camouflage print utilising only brown, red and tan with the only green colours in the tear drop pattern. The smock retains its factory machine sewn breast eagle and period mounted sleeve ranks for a Feldwebel. The buttons on the smock are in tan colour. The front closure in tan glass which are slightly loose but factory sewn. The flare gun holster buttons are in tan metal. The press studs are all intact without missing examples. The smock is dated IX 1944 indicating April 1944. The size is a 1A which is actually a good large mannequin size. The hard edged camouflage pattern is a typical pattern and can be seen on photographs in during the Normandy, Market Garden and Ardennes battles. This is a beautiful example for a NCO in a Fallschirmjäger unit, perfect for a combat mannequin!
