WW1 1914-15 TrioTo- K.22673.C.E.BROWN.STO.1.RNCharles Edward Brown was born at South Normanton, Yorkshire 3-5-1896 & was working as a coal miner when he enlisted in to the Royal Navy 16-6-1914. He was serving onboard HMS Black Prince when it was sunk at the battle of Jutland 31-5-1916 & his service papers state that he was killed in action. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval memorial & the CWGC state that he was the late 20 year old son of Edward & Florence Fanny Brown of the Elms, Castle Gresley, Burton on Trent.NEF & Complete with copy service papers, CWGC details & other basic information.
