This is an attractive - and simply never used! - example of a Waffen-SS Estonian 'volunteer'-arm-shield (ie. 'Γrmelschild') as was intended for usage by soldiers of the: '20. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS' (ie. 'estnische Nr. 1') depicting the bright-blue-coloured-, black- and white-striped shield and that comes in a 'virtually mint'- (ie. 'unissued' and/or never tunic-attached-), condition: it does show some minimal fraying on the sides: moreover, has it once been glued into an album or scrapbook and does show some minimal carton- ie. glue-remains on its back (as can be seen on the pictures). The shield retains very vivid colours and is of the later (1943/1944-period-) type and originated with certainty from the Dachau clothing-depots and originates from the USA where it was stored for decades as a so-called: 'veteran bring-back'-item. Simply a nice occasion to acquire a 100% guaranteed original Estonian-related volunteer-armshield that is I deem accordingly priced!
