Genuine WW1 1914 British Military Officers Trench Whistle by J Hudson & Co. of Birmingham with Original Leather Strap

Here on offer is a genuine WW1 1914 British Military Officers trench whistle by J Hudson & Co. of Birmingham with its original leather strap.The cylindrical nickel silver metal whistle is in excellent condition with just a tiny dent on one side, as shown in my photos.The front is stamped with the maker's name, year of manufacture and the British Military Broad Arrow or Crows Foot Mark:J. HUDSON & CO.244 BARR STBIRMINGHAM1914HUSON'SPATENTThere is also:PATENT 5727.08stamped on the cap, although the '727' numbers are scuffed and hard to make out now.Attached to the ring is the original dark brown leather strap that is now in a fragile condition. It has the buttonhole slot cut near the top, but the top section has broken off at some point in its life. Alos the small retaining stud has been lost and someone has used twine to secure the strap to the whistle ring.It is rare to find this type of early 1914 WW1 trench whistle, with a Broad Arrow mark and the original leather strap, albeit damaged.The whistle measures 3.1' (8cm) long to the top of the ring and 0.7' (1.7cm) diameter.It weighs 40g.Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description.Please see my TERMS OF BUSINESS regarding Deliver Charges and Insurance regarding additional insurance cover, should you require it, BEFORE the item is dispatched.The responsibility lies with the customer to check with your Customs restrictions that this item can be imported into your country.
