BRCS & Order of St John India officers felt cloth uniform wartime badge

A rare original BRCS & Order of St John India worn during the Second World War by a member of the joint War Organisation of the 'British Red Cross Society and Order of St John' serving in India, in the form of a large black felt cloth shield with red trim, bearing both embroidered symbols of the organisation with 'INDIA below in gold bullion thread; the reverse with official ink issue stamp and officially numbered '62' in ink. Good condition, complete with original pair of tapes with press studs fittings, colours remain bright, no traces of any moth.Height approx 64mm.
