This is an attractive - and I deem just moderately used- and/or carefully tunic-removed - pair of neatly hand-embroidered (and fully matching!) WH (Heeres) officers'-type, so-called: 'Waffenrock'- (ie. dress-) collar-tabs (ie. 'Kragenspiegel fรผr Waffenrock') as piped in the (scarcely seen!) black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an officer serving within a: 'Pionier-Abteilungs o. Regiments' (or: army-engineer unit) and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. clearly used- and/or once-tunic-attached-), condition. The pair - which is of the specific pattern that was used on the WH-dress-tunics or: 'Waffenrรถcke' - is piped in the neat black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured coloured branchcolour and was once tunic-attached (by means of hand-stitching). The pieces are fully identical in execution and are nicely 'backed' with 'buckram'-based material as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair shows extraordinary hand-embroidery and is fully void of any corrosion but does show some (minimal) age, wear and/or staining. In any case is this a very attractive, 'Heeres-Pioniere'-related officers'-type 'Waffenrock'-insignia-set that will be hard to upgraded!
