'Deutsch ist die Saar' pin

After World War I, the Saar was administered by the League of Nations. In 1935, a referendum was held. The population voted overwhelmingly (90% or more) to return to Germany. This pin is thereforepropaganda for that referendum, issued by National Socialist organizations to mobilize support.
