Rare original Luftwaffe officer's sword (Schwert für Offiziere), also known as 'Fliegerschwert.' The sword has a leather-covered handle with the correct diagonally twisted silver wire. The blade is nicely marked 'SMF,' indicating production by 'Solinger Metallwaffenfabrik Stöcker & Co' from Solingen. The blade is also marked with a Luftwaffe acceptance stamp. The blade is in perfect condition. The sword shows normal wear and tear. The sword is in good condition and has a beautiful patina of age. Rare original early Luftwaffe sword in very good condition!
