The design was introduced in 1931 (hence 'M31') and was standard issue for infantrymen of the Wehrmacht, Waffen-SS, Luftwaffe, and other branches of the German military.This was a combination cooking tin and cutlery used by German soldiers to cook, store or eat food.every soldier carried one.
