US Indian War Era, 1882 Dated Army Pattern Fork

Original era manufacture. An Army pattern fork with a very clear patent date on the bottom of the handle, Dec.19.82. Often these are encountered with a black paint surface on the handle, and the letters U.S. stamped into the shaft of the fork. This example is without the U.S. but identical in every other way. Normal age and wear.
