Vintage Indian Manufactured Bowie Knife..

The 8 inch unmarked blade has some staining and slight surface pitting, front cutting edge, and of course due to its age a good amount of sharpening to the cutting edge. The oval cross guard is formed from thin sheet metal. Horn handle has no chips or cracks. Top thin metal pommel cap reminds me of the type used on Khukri knives from India and Nepal. The wooden cloth covered scabbard has lost its tip. All in all a good example of Indian type blades produced in the late 1800's and early 1900's, not the best manufactured type you can find but a well functional item of its time.NOT FOR SALE TO UNDER 18'S AND UK ONLY.
