Description
Early produced M35 army steel helmet in good and untouched condition. The helmet started as an apple green coated double decal helmet in 1937 but was overpainted with dark field green camouflage paint due regulations most likely in 1940 before the invasion of Western Europe. Therefore the decals are covered, but still present under the paint. Complete with its untouched liner, dated 1937, being a single band type, showing the typical 'crack' in the band. The leather is still strong for its age and shows normal wear. Genuine draw string and beautiful chin strap still remain present. Shell markings Q66, lot number 3566.
