Early very small (10mm wide) silvered German M16 steel helmet badge of this veteran's organisation. The reverse has a knurled stick-pin, the fixing plate of which is stamped with the makers mark 'Hoffstätter, Bonn'.Very good condition.This scarce early version is without the later title 'Der Stahlhelm'.
