SS Iberia P&O shipping line 1955 Silver St Christopher pendant badge by Mappin & Webb

A rare original fine quality 1950's period 'SS Iberia impressive silver medallion' mounted with the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company enamelled Coat of Arms, inscribed 'P&O IBERIA', also bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1955 and maker's details 'Mappin & Webb' (London & The Royal Works, Sheffield); the reverse with very unusual embossed 'St Christopher' patron saint of travellers. Very good condition, complete with original suspension ring, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example.Diameter approx 33mm.
