A good original circa 1929 to 1940 period 'M.V. Ulster Prince gilt and enamel pin brooch' in the form of a pale blue enamel ships wheel the centre mounted with a red pennant with white spot the Belfast Steamship Company house flag. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. An excellent example.Diameter approx 27mm.Built by Harland and Wolff the 'MV Ulster Prince' was a passenger ferry which operated across the Irish Sea between 1929 and 1940. She became a total wreck in Greece while a troopship during the Second World War.
