Description
This is a very attractive - regrettably single but nevertheless extremely rarely found! - Waffen-SS, neatly 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstrap as was piped in the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'SS-Scharführer eines Kavallerie- o. Aufklärungs-Abteilungs' (or: sergeant who served within a Waffen-SS cavalry- ie. reconnaissance unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- and most certainly worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat strap - which has the 'standard'-pattern, black-coloured and/or 'smooth woolen'-based 'upperdeck' and that measures approximately 11 cms. in length - shows the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured and/or desirable 'silk-like'-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - that shows the typical silverish-grey-toned- and/or 'standard-issue'-pattern NCO-braid attached and that shows a single, and loosely-attached 'Lasche' made from 'dotted'-pattern NCO-braid - comes mounted onto its period tongue. The piece shows a neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei') Latin-styled 'A'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') attached (which is executed in the golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected(as can be noticed on the pictures). The strap only shows minimal wear and/or age and is just very nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that all Waffen-SS 'cyphered' shoulderstraps are extremely rarely encountered. I deem this an excellent occasion to acquire a very rarely seen - and most certainly very desirable! - neatly 'cyphered', NCO-type, Waffen-SS 'Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs'-related shoulderstrap for a justified price!
