A very scarce original circa Second World War period Scottish 'Peebleshire Special Constabulary Police home front badge'; chromium plated red enamel Crowned dotted title surround, the centre bearing thistle between 'S C' on ble enamel ground; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St Birminham' and low issue number '284'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no stress marks or enamel loss.Height approx 29mm.
