German SA Commemorative plaque for aircraft of the Horst Wessel squadron

In a very good condition a German SA Commemorative Plaque for aircfrafts of the Horst Wessel Jagdgeschwarder.(Gedenkplakette für Flugzeuge des JG Horst Wessel) Commemorative plaque for 'SA-Kämpfer' Walter Gornatowski.The bronze plaque comes in a diameter of approx 13cm and has the eyes for wall attachment.This plaque was found originally in 1979 in Feltham England as a war trophy.The plaque has the name of Walter Gornatowski who was killed on the road to an SA-meeting by communist on 17 February 1932:17. Februar 1932 (in Klein-Gaglow bei Cottbus): Walter Gornatowski (* 31. Dezember 1907 in Berlin), SA-Mann, Koch, Arbeiter. Am 17. Februar 1932 wurde Gornatowski zusammen mit anderen SA-Männern, die auf dem Weg zu einer Parteiveranstaltung in Klein Glagow waren, bei der sie als Saalschutz fungieren sollten, von Kommunisten angegriffen und durch Messerstiche tödlich verletzt. In Erinnerung an Gornatowski erhielt der SA-Sturm 10/52 in Cottbus die Bezeichnung „Sturm 10 Walter Gornatowski'.
