Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Medal(Edward VII) named to:152071 G.W.DOBSON, BTN,H.M.COAST GUARD.Medal good very fine and nicely toned.George William Dobson was born at Hornsea Yorkshirein 1874.He enlisted in The Royal Navy on 29th July, 1892.He served on various numerous Ships and Shore Establishments, and was transfered to The Coastguard at Hull in September, 1902 then with The Eastern Division from May 1903.He was Invalided on 13/12/1909 as leading BoatmanMedal traced 1/08/1909Noted 31/12/1910 remark 'Insanity'Discharged as unserviceable in 1914. discharged dead 1915.Naval papers available online
