Merchant Navy Officers' Cap-badge.

Hand-embroidered gold wire wreath with gilt metal coronet above. The coronet has a purple backing suggesting an engineering officer. In the centre is a high profiled wine-red oval bearing a silver metal anchor.. The badge has been worn but is very high quality and is in excellent condition.
