Description

Die struck, browning copper glengarry badge with two original loops as worn by the 134th (48th Highlanders) (Toronto) Battalion C.E.F. An eagle's head, number, '134' and ' Overseas ' scroll to the centre of a strap bearing the Gaelic motto with the title scrolls., '48th Highlanders') and 'Canada'. Whilst there is no maker's details, the slight wavy pattern (which has been deemed a die flaw) on the bottom edge of the bottom scroll is typical of Ellis made versions of this badge.
