Outstanding Waffen-SS Medical Officer's Combat Tunic

This is an untouched original Waffen-SS Medical officer's tunic, consisting of the very typical issue Heer M36 pattern tunic, procured in quantities by the SS from the Heer, and widely issued to SS troops in the early war period. There are an overwhelming amount of photos of SS officers wearing these as their field tunic, badged with officer quality insignia. Forensically, the insignia are fine, period applied, with no evidence of ever having a Heer adler on the breast. The tunic bears the issue mark and appears not to have been further altered (many would have the hem shortened to mimic the SS pattern). The boards bear the medical insignia, rank of SS-Obersturmführer, and are piped in cornflower blue for sanitäts. The bullion officer's sleeve eagle is a perfect example, showing moderate wear commensurate with the rest of the tunic. The untouched machine-applied collar tabs are bullion RZM type, also same condition as the garment. There are loops for awards, and overall the piece shows medium field use. Rare and fine condition, COA accompanies.
