Description

An original woven paste back example in very good condition.Authorised A/17 of 1943, introduced a badge of a launch at speed with the letters ASR emboided in the design. Worn on the right sleeve of the service dress jacket , or the heavy duty blouse, or the khaki drill frock. NCOs and LACs wore it above the chevrons or propeller badge. It was not worn on greatcoats. The badge was abolished in June 1948. Printed examples and those in red for tropical service dress are also encountered.Tanner p 261 refers.Comm DaSm
