The Infantry Assault Badge in silver was introduced on 20 December 1939 by Generaloberst 'Walther von Brauchitsch', for award to all ranks of non-motorized, Infantry and Mountain Infantry units who participated in three different assaults on three different days. The badge is executed in 'Feinzink' and shows stunning details, it still retains almost 100% of its chrome type finish. The badge is not visible maker marked. The pin and catch are complete and functional, this is a so called 'pillow crimp' variant. Stunning original badge in near mint condition!
