Lovely Victorian Pair India GS with Bar Relief of Chitral and Queens South Africa with 5 bars Diamond Hill, Johannesburg, Driefontein,Paardeburg and Cape Colony.Gnr Harris was based in Ireland throughout WW1 based in Athlone with the 5th Reserve Artillery.The 5th Reserve Artillery were sent to Dublin To Shell Rebel Positions during Easter Week 1916.During The War Of Independence Gnr Harris was based in Bere Island Internment Camp of the coast of Cork.This is his only entitlement as Gnr Harris never Left Ireland during WW1, mind you he would have been in his 40s.Great piece of history and comes with so.e research.
