1991 Gulf medal with 16 Jan to 28 Feb 1991 clasp, GSM 1962 With N.Iraq & S.Turkey clasp & Saudi Arabia liberation of Kuwait medalTo- J.MOUNSEY.SA1.RNSTSJohn Mounsey from Cockermouth served onboard the RFA Resource & died in service 6-7-1991 due to a head injury. He was serving in Turkey at the time of his death. His remains were repatriated to the UK & he is buried in Cockermouth. Only seven people are recorded as having died during operation Haven 1991 & all of them are recorded as accidental deaths.The Gulf medal is mounted for wear & the other two medals are mint boxed. Complete with a selection of photographs & a selection of official documents & letters that relate to the recipients death in service.EF/MINT & a rare pair of medals to a small & specialist unit that is seldom seen on the rim of a medal.
