French M1874 Gras Bayonet, St Etienne 1879, Matching Numbers

Original era manufacture. A clean example with a brass pommel and sound wooden grips. T-shaped polished steel blade measuring 21 inches in length, dark steel patina finish to the guard. Near dent free blue steel finished scabbard, with matching serial numbers scabbard to guard, 4357.A very solid example of this handsome, yet fairly common bayonet, unusual to find one with matching numbers.
