A very scarce original First World War period 'Women's Volunteer Reserve cap badge; die-stamped bronze star with four pointed and four squared points, bearing circlet EFFICIENCY IS STRENGTH with central flagged Globe al resting on title scroll, the reverse bearing maker's applied tablet. 'J.R.GAUNT LONDON'. Very good condition, complete with its original two blade fittings.Height approx 35mm.
