This late-war 50kg rated parachute is a Type B Model withSetzvorrichtung (impact-release device), designed for small supply crates and light field equipment drops.TheFl. 30233 Lastenfallschirm Lastenfallschirm 50 kg (B m/Setz.) Cargo Parachute was issued for the delivery of smaller loads such as ammunition boxes, radio accessories, rations, or medical kits. The Setzvorrichtung automatically detached the canopy from the load upon ground impact, preventing canopy drag or damage. This specific 50 kg version was not used with heavy Abwurfbehälter canisters, but with lighter crates or wicker panniers in the 30–45 kg class.Made of cotton, canvas, and steel, this LATE-WAR Cargo Parachute is in EXCELLENT unused conditon! Some slight marks and wear from storage, but nothing that detracts.
