RMS Transvaal Castle Shipping Line Stratton Ladies Compact 1961–1966

A very scarce original 1961 to 1966 short lived period 'R.M.S. Transvaal Castle souvenir ladies compact high quality collectible'; ornate gilt engraved example, the oval centre bearing a coloured representation of the Union-Castle Line Ocean Liner Ship; the insde powder compartment lid stamped with the famous 'Stratton' name. Very good used condition, hinge and catch in good working order, mirror complete, gilt finish remains bright.Size approx 86 x 69mm.In 1966 RMS Transvaal Castle was taken over by Safmarine renamed S.A. Vaal.
