British Khaki Beret Lincolshire Regiment Badged With Black Backing - Nice Used Condition

A nice used example of a British Khaki beret. A standard issue beret in overall nice used condition. With no visible markings or size, would estimate a size 7 1/4. The beret is original mounted with a Lincolnshire Regiment cap badge with black backing.The black backing is applied on a what appears a leather tab, unknown to us.The 46th Lincolnshire regiment served with the British Expeditionary Force (BEF) and managed to return from Dunkirk. In 1944 participated in D-Day and throughout the Normandy campaign and North West Europe campaign. The 6th battalion served in numerous of operations such Tunisia, Salerno, Monte Casino and Egypt. A nice used and original mounted beret with great patina!
