1918 French Gas Mask

The gas mask face covering is somewhat stiff, showing age and use. The lenses are missing. The filter canister is intact, with the base bearing the date of 1918 and a Paris manufacturer name. The attachment straps are present. The gas mask is contained within its carrying canister, on which the fabric shoulder strap apparently broke and was replaced witha leather strap. The French label remains inside of the lid.
