M43 Luftwaffe field cap 'Einheitsfeldmütze' Italian made

Seldom seen Luftwaffe M43 enlisted field cap being an Italian manufacture. Very interesting cap, having an extra long visor and being made of thin ribbed blue grey wool and lined in dark blue rayon with HBT weave. The cap has a full machine installed dark brown ersatz sweatband, that shows damages from storage and dright. It has a size mark inside '56'. The two original blue painted wooden buttons are still factory applied. The two side loops are of a late green linen cotton gauze material. The national eagle and the national tri-color cockade are machine embroidered on blue grey wool and are factory straight machine stitched to the cap's front, these insignia are also textbook Italian made examples. The cap remains in unissued condition with some light storage wear. This is a unique Luftwaffe M43 cap, with only a very few pieces known in collections.
