Fascist Italy Order of the Roman Eagle Commander Cross

The enamel neck cross of the third class, or Commander grade, of the fascist Italian Order of the Roman Eagle. The decoration is in excellent condition, the enamel being without chips or cracks. The Order is on a length of wide neck ribbon. The Fascist Italian Order of the Roman Eagle founded in 1942 with civil and military divisions, and it was abolished in 1944, although it continued to be awarded by Benito Mussolini in the short-lived Italian Social Republic until 1945.
