Named British 1855 Pattern Honorable Artillery Company Sword

The sword has an overall length of approximately 37 inches. The blade is etched on both sides, with the etched decorations being somewhat faded. The blade bears the etched name of 'G.W.C. Dean, Esq.'. The ricasso has the distributor name of 'Daniels & Thompson' of London. The guard, knuckle bow and pommel all show uncleaned patina. The grip is covered in sharkskin, double wrapped in brass wire. The grip shows age as well as spots, but it is without damage. The leather scabbard is dry and the tip is split, with the lower scabbard fitting missing. The top and middle scabbard fittings show uncleaned patina.
