French Model 1892 2nd Pattern Mannlicher Berthier Bayonet

The bayonet has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 20-3/4 inches, with a blade length of approximately 15-1/2 inches. The blade is generally bright, showing some spots and darker areas, but being without chips or nicks. The pommel and the guard exhibit a dark patina, with some rust on the guard. The wood grip plates show typical indentations from carrying wear, but the grip plates are without cracks. The ricasso bears the letter 'P' within a circle. The hooked guard bears the impressed designation of 'HC 459'. The blued finish of the scabbard is almost entirely intact.
