Japanese WWII Army Field Grade Officers Dress Sword

Original era manufacture. Chrome finished blade measuring 31 inches in length, with a false temper line, and very light scattered bubbling to the finish. Nice quality gilded brass guard, with the more ornate back strap indicating a Field Grade officers rank, Major to Colonel. Black plastic wrapped grip with triple wire binding. Chrome finished scabbard with some light denting along its length, which does not inhibit the movement of the blade. Sound sword overall, blade is slightly loose against the guard.
