Description

The pickelhaube was adopted by the Mexican Army in the uniform regulations of 1905 under the Porfirio Diaz Presidency. The leather body of the pickelhaube shows typical age crazing, with the right rear having some loss of the surface leather. The gilt brass Mexican eagle helmet plate, spike base, parade plume column, and the fish scale chin strap all show uncleaned patina.The full interior leather sweatband is present. The interior bears written notations. The sides retains the Mexican national colors cockades.
