$1275.00

Description

The exterior of the iron helmet shell, or bachi, is very clean, showing expected signs of age but without damage or rust. The helmet is in the zunari style, comprised of five separate armor plates. The lower rear of the helmet has three shikoro, or narrow parallel horizontal plates, for protection of the wearer's neck. The plates are dark red in color, with intact fabric cords securing the plates. The interior cloth liner is largely intact, showing some wear and exhibiting fraying on the bottom edge. Overall the helmet is in excellent condition and it makes an impressive appearance.
