Available
$450.00

Description

The silk flag is approximately 28-1/2 inches by 34-1/4 inches. The flag shows age toning and spots, but it is without damage. Two corners have reinforced corners with string ties. The flag bears the often seen slogan of 'Continued Luck n the Fortunes of War' across the top. The kanji also reads 'Celebration! Entering the Military'. The flag is named to 'Mr. Sano Mikihiko' of the 'Student Corps'. Inside of the 'sacred mirror' is the kanji for 'Soul' or 'Spirit'. The balance of the writing on the flag are the names of well-wishers, likely being fellow members of the school or university's student corps. The main kanji are beautifully calligraphed and the signatures all are written by mature students who are used to writing with a brush. The flag makes a very impressive appearance.
