Ladies Watch Beha Bechthold & Härter, Pforzheim

Description

Period German made women's wrist watch produced by Bechthold & Härter, in Pforzheim. It is in working order and did keep time reasonably well when I tested it. The company was founded in 1919, bombed out in 1945 and reregistered in 1965. I am not exactly a watch expert, but the style of the watch is very appropriate for the 1930's-50's the face style and font choice for the numbers is more typical of older watches. The engraving on the bottom of the watch is some what crude. It has a Swiss made 15 Jewel movement. It could use a good cleaning. The case does have an actual gold finish, which is worn in places. Even with just a minor cleaning this would make a very attractive watch.
