Pattern 1796 British Cavalry Saber

The saber has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 38 1/2 inches, with a blade length of approximately 32 1/2 inches. The blade has spots and gray areas and two or three barely perceptible nicks. The iron guard. pommel, and back strap are dark with age and scattered surface roughness. The wood grip exhibits wear and age but it is without chips or cracks. The scabbard has a dark finish with areas of rust.
